Canada Peace Summit 2025

Save the Date: April 24, 2025

A full-day gathering to create hope, engage Palestinians and Jews in dialogue, and raise funds for Standing Together.

Location: Toronto Ontario Canada

The continuing violence in Israel/Palestine is causing increasing hardening of positions and polarization around the world.

Emotions have spilled into Canada, and we’re all affected by an increase in polarization, fear, and isolation.

The goals of the Canada Peace Summit are as follows:

(1) to raise awareness and support of Standing Together;

(2) help de-polarize citizens locally, in Canada.

(3) to build a framework for action in Canada for Jews and Palestinians together.

The ‘Standing Together’ movement, theory, and thought template has inspired us, as Canadian Jews and Palestinians, to see a way out of the cycle of violence.

We want to knit our communities back together, by reducing polarization.

We'd like to expose Canadian Jews and Palestinians to each other, since there is evidence that repeated in person exposure helps to dismantle racism and ignorance. Finally, we'd like to leverage Canada’s historic peacekeeping culture in this critical area.

This event is organized by volunteers of the Toronto Friends of Standing Together, under the charitable structural governance of the New Israel Fund of Canada.

The Toronto Friends of Standing Together, jointly lead by Palestinian, Jewish and Israeli Canadians, believe that one of the ways the violence can end permanently is to support the work of grassroots social movement Standing Together.
